Statement
When sunlight passes through the atmosphere, hits the Earth, and begins to bounce from object to object- losing intensity in the shadows until it fades into darkness- you will find me standing in the middle, watching with admiration.
My work is centered on light, and the lack thereof. When I paint, the atmosphere surrounding a subject is just as vital as the subject itself; it dictates my palette and shapes the space.
Through my work, I engage in an ongoing dialogue with the natural world, exploring its underlying harmony with reverence and translating that quiet energy onto the paper or canvas.
